Chickens - Soy Free and Regular Feed!

SOY-FREE EGGS AND STEWING MEAT!

The chickens laying "SOY-FREE" eggs have been given certified organic feed from Modesto Milling since they arrived on the farm as "day-old chicks." It is a feed that uses sesame seed or canola meal as the higher protein source instead of soybean meal.

The older birds are "harvested" for meat. You can purchase frozen stewing birds and parts (gizzards, necks, feet and liver.)

These chickens have received the regular certified organic feed that includes soybean meal. They also eat lots of greens from the vegetable growing area or from eating on the hillside.
